First I work with customers to create one of a kind personalized traditional or contemporary Native American regalia. This clothing includes ribbon dresses, ribbon shirts, ribbon skirts, and ribbon vests. These garments are worn for tribal events and ceremonies or everyday statement of indigenous pride.
Our Story
I’ve been sewing since I was about 3 when my mother inherited a Singer Featherweight machine. I immediately claimed it as my own and have been sewing ever since.
Once I got married and we began our family the kids saw the beautiful shirts and dresses worn at the Chickasaw events we attended I began figuring out how to make my family traditional ribbon shirts and dresses by copying what I saw and talking to tribal elders.
Soon friends began to ask if I could make one for them here and there. As time went by friends of friends began to ask and eventually my name became known around the tribe as someone who could sew traditional tribal garments and what began as a something I did for my family has become a full time business.
